need a opinion on a forex strategy?

i need an opinion on a forex strategy i use. here is what i use my time frame is the daily charts and i only trade the majors i use the following indicators Heiken-Ashi, and a 5 day on the open & 6 day on the close EMA plus a MACD and the ADX indicators on the bottom and i trade the crossovers is there anyone here that trades the forex with a similar setup what im looking for is just some opinions from some more experienced forex traders ive been back testing this for a couple of months and seems to be profitable but maybe i might just be missing something a more knowledgeable forex trader might be able to help me tweak it some more i realize there is no holy grail but any opinions would be greatly appreciated thank you for your time ive traded stocks for 30 years but the forex is a whole new ballgame

Hello. May I ask if i wanna participate in short term swing trading, which period of SMA, EMA, MACD should I use?? Because these are trend indicators and they are lagging indicators; therefore, causing me to enter the market late. Is there a particular period which can solve my problem? thanks.

Besides MACD and slow stochastics, what are other indicators you find useful for trading stocks?

I find that when the MACD is above the zero line, the stock tend to go up in the long term. When slow stochastics is low and about to go back up, that’s a good time to buy. I also go by the economic calendar and wait for important economic data before I buy or short.

I’ve been trading FOREX in a while, I used various inidcators such as MAs, Stochastic, MACD, RSI, and countless others.
However, none of them really works well for me in most cases.

MAs cross-over is hard to predict. Always fit better after the facts. For example, like MA (9) crosses MA (14) or MA (14) crosses MA (32) , I even tested many other flavors of MAs claimed offer faster and smoothier movements. Of course, if MA (9) didn’t cross MA (14) and failed to your expectation of the movement, MA (3) crossed over MA (9)…

Can you tell me other Forex trading indicators? What is best forex indicator?

Seen this ad encouraging public to sign up for candlestick patterns workshop : traders rely 1% gut feel, 4% sma, 5% stochastic, 6% macd, 7% fibonacci, 8% trends & channels, 9% support & resistance, 60% candlestick pattern analysis. I am not a profitable trader so I like to know if this is true before I sign up.
