need a opinion on a forex strategy?

i need an opinion on a forex strategy i use. here is what i use my time frame is the daily charts and i only trade the majors i use the following indicators Heiken-Ashi, and a 5 day on the open & 6 day on the close EMA plus a MACD and the ADX indicators on the bottom and i trade the crossovers is there anyone here that trades the forex with a similar setup what im looking for is just some opinions from some more experienced forex traders ive been back testing this for a couple of months and seems to be profitable but maybe i might just be missing something a more knowledgeable forex trader might be able to help me tweak it some more i realize there is no holy grail but any opinions would be greatly appreciated thank you for your time ive traded stocks for 30 years but the forex is a whole new ballgame

Let’s say that I had ,000 principle in a trading account. I am a novice( beginner). What should I expect for earnings if I profit on 60-70% of trades in forex?

I’m interested in dabbling in some day trading. I don’t have a lot of money to invest, but I’d like to change that. Who would be a good company for a relative novice to get involved with – meaning cost, minimum investment, speed of trades, and stability?

Currency Trading: is it a viable long term way to make money from home?

I went to an introduction to FOREX (foreign exchange) class recently and they were telling us how with a good education in FOREX you can consistently make money, and good money too, since you are trading 50 or 100 times what you have in your trading account. The complete course is 00 and they were pushy for us to take the class so I didn’t feel so confident about it, but i read up on the subject a bit and did a trial trade for about 30 days, I was up a lot at one point (about 00) but in the end of the month i pretty muich broke even. WIth more knowledge and a proper education on the subject can it be a long term way of makin money?
DEAR ALL, thanks for your responses, overall you seem to think currency trading is high risk and not really a viable way of making money from home. I should have mentioned in my question that if i were to do it, i would want to rely more on technical analysis and all the ratios and different theorems etc. I would also be making trades that are from about 30 minutes to at most one day. Does this change anyones opinion on the subject?

Thanks for looking. I am 25 in college for mechanical engineering and also working. I am interested in day trading one day. I hear that people will borrow for their trades leverage I believe, first thing……..I would never gamble loaned money. But I have used freestockcharts.com which provides a live feed of stocks and has many useful indicators. I have used it maybe 10 days where I just sat and paper traded. I profited all but 1. Averaging about 5-6% profit daily. I don’t konw if thats much…….I like technical analysis as my main tool.

I just feel like if I saved up 50,000, I could try and get started. If I were to continue to paper trade and continue to profit daily,

I could make 3 1% trades a with day 10000 for each. walk out with 300 and invest it the next day. If i continued I would be making profit off of profit in no time. It would be compounding interest at 3% daily. with a few bad days i am sure

It sounds to good to be true and I’m sure it is….I just don’t see how I wouldn’t be able to do that. Also what do you think of the site Im using…Is it even legit as far as the "live" charts

Can you give me advice on daytrading?

I’m 24, in college, and am interested in day trading. I am on my second book reading up on it. I am interested in technical analysis. I am very good at math so the concepts come easy to me and the charts do as well.

I used www.freestockcharts.com as a resource for practicing. It provides lots of features including indicators, portfolios, and tools to draw trend lines in.

I have paper traded 5 days so far. Here’s how I did.
1. +4%
2. +5%
3. +4.6%
4. -0.5%
5. +1.32%

With about 15 trades a day tops and a lot of starting capitol I think I could make good money. I know I’m very green so there’s lots to learn. I don’t even have money to invest with yet anyways.

How do you think I’m doing? Is my profit so far good or to early to tell? What can I do to progress faster at trading and get good at it?

Why the 95% of Forex traders loosing money instead of making money?

Im studying Forex, and i have the practice program 5 days now, im reading and daily i make virtually almost 4000$ and im loosing more than i make.
So, my humble logic says, learn more, and learn to make only the good trades and not the bad ones.
So, I read books, online stuff etc etc, in 4 days i learn about candlesticks, MACD, Histogram, trading pairs,other technical indicators, pips, leverage, spreads, and so many other things, and I also learn that i have to practice at least a month or two! before i even think to make a trade with real money!
and i see clearly that i need to practice because i really don;t earn money, not even with fake money!
my losses are bigger from my profits!
so, the next logical step is to practice until i will make more profits than losses with the virtual money!

so, how come, that simple thing people don;t follow it and go and loose their money?
at least if vitrually after a month i still loose money, i will not trade my real money and i will have forex as a nice game!
i will be a happy person!
but if i see that i make money , i continue and see how im doing.
I believe that a medium trader should make more than 65% of winnings and a 35 of losses.
My personal goal is to 70 up to 80% success!

Seriously, with each trades(if Kidd comes) the West seems be just immeasureable stronger now, and Celtics fan I know your team is 15-0 against the West, but with K.G injuried and Allen’s history, I doubt you will even make it past Detriot let along all the top dogs in the West for the finals!

And guys, is anyone actually going to watch the Eastern conference playoffs?(I pretty much can predict what’s going to happen) I mean every match up in the West could result in an upset.

Day trading has really interested me, and I am looking into it greatly. I have a few questions for the experienced traders who make a living off of it.

How much money do you have in your accounts for day trading, and how much per trade? How many trades do you work on at a time?

What percentage earnings are you looking for each trade you make (I know it varies, but this info would also be helpful)?

What time frames do you focus on, and what are acceptable percentages for each (ideally speaking)?

What is your estimated average annual salary?

How often are your predictions correct?

Any comments on risks and rewards for day trading only?

What are your most reliable indicators/indexes/patterns/oscillators?

What are the best mental qualities to focus on? Is technical analysis, wisdom, and integrity enough, or should I focus on others?

As you can see, these are not the kinds of questions I can just search for. Quick responses are more than enough. Thank you!!!

Day Trading?

I need to find information on day trading, does anyone know a good online broker, with a low minimum initial investment, low commission that executes trades quickly.
