With all the blockbuster trades in the West, how the hell is the East suppose to compete?

Seriously, with each trades(if Kidd comes) the West seems be just immeasureable stronger now, and Celtics fan I know your team is 15-0 against the West, but with K.G injuried and Allen’s history, I doubt you will even make it past Detriot let along all the top dogs in the West for the finals!

And guys, is anyone actually going to watch the Eastern conference playoffs?(I pretty much can predict what’s going to happen) I mean every match up in the West could result in an upset.

1. China, India, the MidEast, and Russia were bit players or non-existent financial entities until the 1990′s. India proved today that it is a major player in the gold market by single-handedly blasting the players who have been holding down the gold price for years. China, for all of its internal problems, is now the big kid on the block. Russia can crush Europe without firing a shot. All they have to do is to turn a few valves on various pipelines, and Europe grinds to a halt in the dead of winter. I don’t think that any of these guys will quietly kneel down to an English-speaking world government. They want to make their own voices heard and accumulate as much power as possible.

2. We have already had a one-world currency: the soon-to-falter dollar. The Bretton Woods agreements after WWII basically set up the dollar as a gold-equivalent, but Nixon crapped on that parade when he slammed the gold window shut on Charles DeGaulle’s bony fingers. What we are seeing now is not the birth of a new one-world currency, but rather the death of a faded fiat currency whose handlers are intent on inflating it away in order to retain their elusive power for a few more weeks or days. If there is to be a new one-world currency, it will have a nice shiny yellow color. Most central banks have now stopped selling gold and are intent on restocking their gold stores. No other fiat currency can fill the dollar void, and I don’t believe that anyone will take seriously any new fiat currency that is issued without a solid gold backing. Fiat is so 20th century.

3. We have already had a one-world government: the wishes and demands of the United States. Everywhere we go, we insist on setting up naval or airforce bases, essentially occupying every country in the world except for a handful. When the Chinese invade Africa or South America, they build schools and hospitals and offer to trade in the local currency. The paradigm has shifted, and the old world government is on the way out. The new regime will be diversified, not centralized. The League of Nations and the United Nations were earlier attempts at centralized one-world government, and both organizations failed to hold up their ends of the bargain.

4. The climate change treaty due to be signed next month has been viewed by some to be the harbinger of a new world government, but look at the countries who have refused to sign it: China and India. How is any world organization going to force those two countries to succumb to such assinine demands? How do you force China to do anything it refused to do? Nobody has any leverage whatsoever over them. They may have a tiny economy when compared to the United States, but they have so much inertia that, to move them in any direction is akin to moving an aircraft carrier with a rowboat: ain’t gonna happen, no matter how much we "hope" we can "change" them. How can you have a one-world government when 25 percent of the population brushes off the new Powerz-dat-be?

5. Will the good folks in the Great Republic of Texas, or our "friend", Hugo Chavez, or the North Korean nutjob even consider for one second the possibility of submitting to some out-there one-world government? I think not. With so much dissention, not to mention outright snubbing, how can any centralized government succeed?

My conclusion is that we have already experienced a one-government, one-currency system, and it is now falling apart, leaving the way clear for a myriad of local sovereign governments to come to the fore. Gold is the once and future universal currency, and, unfortunately for us, the United States will lose its top-dog status. "

Luau Party for Graduation any ideas?

I am having a graduation party at my house for all my senior friends. I am cleaning out my garage and covering all the walls with blue sheets and fabric. I want to cover the floor with sand but idk how much it is or if my dad approves. I am going to keep the garage doors open (the big ones where the cars come in) and hang paper lanterns in the door ways. I am going to use card board and paint bright signs that say beach this way and stuff like that.. I am also going to make a cardboard surf board with an ocean view on it. I am getting an inflatable palm tree and some flower petals to spread around. I am hoping to get round tables and cover the tops with blue or green table cloths and wrap a grass table skirt around each. For the tops of the tables I want to have either Hawaiian looking flowers or a coconut candle in the center surrounded by seashells. Also on the ceiling I want to have a blue sheer fabric with white Christmas lights. I will probably have a few beach balls laying around. My dad is making me this tiki bar (a cheap one) using plywood for the table top and using bamboo rods to hold up the top. I am planning on covering it the same way I will do the tables with a table cloth and grass skirt and a grass skirt also for the top (roof) of the tiki bar. I was going to make a little area where people could change but I don’t know how I could do that. I was going to make it out of fabric but I thought people could easily pull it open so it wouldn’t be too private. Oh yeah I was also going to get a fish net and hang it over the fabric wall and put fish and sea shells in it. Out side I want to have tiki torches, a sign, maybe balloons. We have this huge black tarp that we always use as a slip and slide, I know its kind of juvenile but it’s so much fun! I was thinking about renting a volley ball net, but I’m not sure about that yet. I was also going to have music playing in the garage to set a mood. For food I was going to have hot dogs, hamburgers, chips and salsa and drinks with cocktail parasols to serve at the tiki bar. For gift bags I was going to give stuff like seashell necklaces, ocean or coconut scented soaps and sprays, surf board key chains, maybe a cute notebook idk tell me if you have any ideas especially for guys. But yeah that’s about it if you have any ideas please let me know. If u have done a luau tell me how yours went thanks. I am buying my stuff from oriental trading, dollar tree and wall-mart.

The sad truth about islam…and how america will soon take it in.?

I’m not going to start prophesizing or anything, but i guess i’m just asking; do you agree or disagree to the following:

We and britan are the only real big democracys left out there. And islam is the fastest spreading religion out there. This spells disaster. So how do the islamic facists go about getting rid of us, theeir threats? they do not crash planes into trade towers, no. They slowly elect their people into out government. This is a serious issue because it is a creeping one. If he claims to be converted, that is the first step. Once we pass step # one, we’re in it for the whole ride. Because then we elect a muslim who is just a little bit towards islam. Step by step, moving from bottom to the top of the government, we have islamic leaders. The sad thing is that we already have a man like this who is trying to become the top dog. Barack Obama. Another sad thing, is that in order to stop this kind of islamic election, we have to completely ban every muslum from office.
You idiots are missing the freaking point. I’m talking about just as a people, to stop voting for muslims. and I FREAKING KNOW BARACK IS NOT ISLAM. but he IS muslim. this is my point, which is step # 1.

Can we see Rayzor Ray Emery being delt in a backup goalie role.
True… but his off ice stuff is being blown out of porportion by the hungry ottawa hockey media.

Yes, I know he’s good… Yes, I know he set the record last year… But that was last year… I’m seeing what the people in my league are willing to give me for him, as I feel that, while he will be a top 5 back, there is no guarantee that he will be number
1…

So I figured it wouldn’t hurt to test the waters and see what he’s worth…

This trade is intriguing for me since they are both top dogs so far…
to add detail…I have LT, F-Jax, Wells and Grant for RBs. I have Reggie, Housh, Manningham, S. Rice, and Maclin as WRs…
Its a deep 14 team league…and so far RBs have been MUCH harder to acquire than WRs.
